WordCamp Melbourne 2011

WordCamp MelbourneMelbourne, Australia: WordCamp Australia has been caught in the flurry around WordCamps no longer permitted to be named after their country but by their region or city. Thus, WordCamp Melbourne now has its own site and the event is scheduled for February 26-27, 2011. The event will be at the North Melbourne Town Hall and is in the final stages of planning.

There will be two tracks and Sunday features developer and hacker presentations and projects. They are also looking for more speakers and volunteers, so get involved now.

WordCamp New Zealand 2011

WordCamp New ZealandNew Zealand: WordCampNZ is hosted by the WordPress Community of Wellington and will be February 19-20 at the Oceania Room at Te Papa. John Ford of Automattic will be there to speak on VaultPress and WordPress backups. Paul Gibbs, a core BuddyPress developer from the UK will also present. This is the third year of WordCamp New Zealand and promises to be even better than before.

Indonesia: WordCamp Indonesia is January 29-30 in Bandung, bringing together WordPress experts and fans for a third year in a row. There are over 200 people already signed up, so expect it to sell out fast. The event is still being finalized. It will feature three tracks and includes a music entertainment tribute to Thelonious Monk, the jazz musician for which WordPress 3.0 was named.
